THE 4 HOUR FLAGGER COURSE

The 4 Hour Flagger course covers safe flagging techniques 

as per New York State Department of Transportation and 

the National Safety Council. The topics discussed in this course include construction site safety, roadway safety, and the proper use of flagmen through an understanding of 

flagging procedures and proper use of required equipment.

Course Topics

• Understand the necessity for the use of traffic controls and when to utilize them.
• Safely flag pedestrians and construction vehicles on and off active construction sites.
• Understand the responsibilities to safely conduct and provide traffic control to regulate traffic and pedestrian traffic in and around construction sites.
• Understand and be able to utilize safety equipment and systems to ensure safety when using traffic controls.

CONSTRUCTION SILICA COMPETENT PERSON TRAINING 

This training is for persons designated by their construction management to act as the Silica Competent Person for their site(s) or who want to learn more about the role of the competent person under the new OSHA Construction Regulation (29 CFR 1926.1153) for Respirable Crystalline Silica.Participants will acquire knowledge through 

lecture and real-world interactive examples that will help prepare them to comply with the new silica standard.

Course Topics

• Understand the main elements of 29 CFR 1926.1153
• Understand regulations elements and applying them to jobsite specific applications
•  Define the roles, responsibilities, expectations and limitations of both the silica competent person and a qualified person within their company program
• Suggest skills and capabilities for the Silica Competent Person per the American Industrial Hygiene Association White Paper​​
• Personal Protective Equipment, as applicable
• Elements of an exposure plan

CONSTRUCTION COMPETENT PERSON 

The Competent Person training will teach you factors needed to reach competent person status.This advanced Competent Person (CP) online safety course focuses on construction and construction-related activities that comply with Federal OSHA requirements.
